| Kim Aikens has
been interested in photography for years, but has found renewed
vision with her discovery of digital imaging and Adobe Photoshop.
In the past, she has taken photography courses through the
University of Michigan Art School. More recently, she has
been involved in courses on digital media, web design, and
Adobe Photoshop through NYU’s School of Continuing Education.
Besides photography and digital imaging, Kim also does select
custom web site design.
In addition, Kim has developed an interest in glicee printmaking.
Currently, she is enrolled in a course in digital photography
and large format glicee printing through theUniversity of
Bowling Green and the international organization for digital
photographers, Flaar. Kim currently shoots with a 35 mm digital
SLR Fuji S2 Pro.

She uses Epson printers
with archival ink and is in the process of analyzing
the market in order to purchase the best large format
printer for giclée printmaking.
Kim has exhibited in Michigan at juried
shows in Petoskey and Detroit. She received first place
for her entry into the Crooked Tree juried photography
show in 2002 and honorable mention for her entry in
2001.
