| Rick
Ford has gained national attention as a result of immersing
himself in art for over three decades. He began with his studies
at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and later worked
as a commercial artist. By 1980, Rick had made the decision—and
commitment—to devote his time wholly to the profession
of fine art painting. His first bit of national recognition
came when he was represented by Portrait Brokers Inc., a national
portrait gallery.
Since
that time, Rick has had numerous one man shows in New York,
Chicago, and the summer resort community of Harbor Springs,
Michigan. He works in the four media of oil, pastel, watercolor
and acrylic.
