Artists> Greg Mellen

Greg is a lifelong Missouri resident who developed an avid interest in photography at the age of thirty-two. He pursued that interest with art classes at East Central College and Seattle Filmworks Photography School. Throughout his studies he became interested and inspired by the works of Master landscape photographers, Ansel Adams, David Muench, and Galen Rowell.

Greg travels the United States from coast to coast, capturing images of grandeur and intimate beauty. He was recently introduced to the splendor of the Great Lakes Region. His acclaimed photography has been featured on the covers and throughout the pages of many outdoor recreation catalogs.

Greg uses a Mamiya camera system to record his vision. The 6" x 7" transparencies provide vibrant colors and rich details.

He has chosen the LightJet digital laser process to brilliantly transfer his artwork to paper. These inspiring, archival images are available in limited editions of 100 in various sizes.

Greg Mellen's work can be seen at QUARTERS, 114 Main St., Harbor Springs, Michigan.
